Ellesmere Port RUFC
Ramsey RUFC
There was last minute drama for Ramsey in the Cheshire Bowl. They trailed 26-7 to Ellesmere Port at half time but eventually ran out 26-28 winners after a second half shut out.

Jake Richmond grabbed a first half try for Ramsey with Brandon Atchison converting to just keep them in the hunt after coughing up some easy first half points for the “Oilers”.

Skipper Matt Meechan rallied his team at half time though and tries from Josh Corteen and Nathan Robson both converted by Atchison saw them enter the final minute trailing 26-21. Atchison however had the final word. His last gasp try levelled the scores and he kicked the conversion to win.

Sadly, for Ramsey it appears not quite enough to qualify for the final. Hoylake’s superior points difference leaves them on top of the standings with a game in hand against Southern Nomads. For Ramsey to qualify Hoylake would need to lose that game by forty points or more and not pick up any bonus points either.
