Ramsey won 27-12 away at Marple to keep their 100% record in the Cheshire Plate. Josh Corteen fended off the defence to open the Ramsey account. Marple equalised quickly but Ramsey restored the lead with a quickly tapped penalty from scrum half Nathan Robson. From the restart Ramsey skipper Matt Meechan made big yardage. He found Conor Goodall in support and Goodall in turn found Stevie Kneale who powered in. Brandon Atchison converted but Marple also struck back and when the half time whistle went, Ramsey were just 17-12 ahead.
The second half was then Bradnon Atchison show. A penalty midway through the half extended the lead and in the final five minutes Atchison finished off an attacking move and carried defenders over the line with him as he scored. He converted his own try to give Ramsey the win.
Ramsey now top their pool in the competition and require just a single point from their final game against Moore to secure a place in the final.
