Douglas North beat Ramsey 38-9 at Port-e-Chee to remain unbeaten at the top of the Manx Trophy as the competition reached its halfway stage. Kyle Martin gave Douglas the lead in the first half but two penalties from Ramsey’s Dan Richmond saw the teams turn around with Douglas just 7-6 ahead. Rob Todd crossed early in the second half to push Douglas further ahead. Charlie Henthorn quickly added a further try and when Lance Wyllie went in midway through the half Ramsey were looking out of it. Richmond added two more penalties to keep Ramsey interested but Kyle Martin’s second with ten to go, plus a last-minute score from Shaun Wyllie removed any remaining doubts
