Ramsey kicked off the fifteen aside season in the Isle of Man when their Vets team took on an IOM Vets XV (predominately Vagabonds) at The Mooragh.
The visitors racked up a 31-5 halftime lead with tries from Andre Pretoius, Leigh Kennaugh, Gwyn Davies and Winkie Macleod, plus three Kennaugh conversions. Tynan Pritchard pulled one back for the men in red and black but Garry Vernon's conversion attempt was wide. The second half started badly for Ramsey with Pretorius bursting through for his second. James Hammal then added two in quick succession Kennaugh grabbed his second and there were further scores from Daryn Thompson and Mark Shortland. Kennaugh chipped away with the boot converting another five while Thompson converted his own try for good measure.
